Volunteer Information

At St. Mary's, parents are welcome to volunteer for school events throughout the entire year as needed and requested. During school hours each individual teacher may also offer occasional volunteer opportunities. These opportunities may include chaperoning during field trips, setting up class parties, or helping in other tasks as requested by a teacher.  See all volunteer opportunities available to you (for current parents) here.

Parents wishing to volunteer must adhere to the Archdiocesan of Washington Child Protection Policy which requires volunteers to submit a Volunteer Application, attend a Protecting God's Children training session and get fingerprinted at an authorized location.  You may contact the school's front office for more information or read the Child Protection Compliance Instruction Sheet.

You may also visit the Archdiocese of Washington Child Protection section to sign up for a training session.

Please understand that in order to volunteer during school hours and to attend a school field trip parents must have met these requirements prior to the date of the event.
